finally the most awaited BIG DAY is here:)).I know you are all desperately waiting for this day,and even i am!!I just cant believe that one month is already over,feels like started now,times flies ,.seriously!!.So i want to thank all the people who supported me through out,i really had a good time and got a chance to interact with many people and got lots of new friends.This one month i dint do much crafting(hardly3 to 4 post of my work this month in my blog)but enjoyed seeing all your challenges entries:))).

A FINAL EVENT,...

I am supposed to post this on monday after all the celebration gets over,but due to some work on from monday i am posting this today itself.So friends,a big big thank you for all who participated in the celebrations and making it a huge success,i absolutely love this one month and made many new friends and interacted with many which i dint do much before this.

ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS WEEK 5-WORD SCRAMBLE GAME

Hi friends,

welcome to the 5th and final week of celebrations,I cant believe its already 5th week,time flies huh?I have decided to go with the game,as i dont want to overburden you all with another challenge:)).

So this is how it works:

A scrambled word will be posted in the side bar of my blog daily at 12 p.m,for all the seven days.

You have to collect all the seven words,and find the correct word too and mail me on monday june 6th.You have only one day to do that,till monday midnight 12 o'clock,mails after that will not be considered.My mail id is in the side bar.One person who finds all the word right will receive a prize package from me which include die cuts,embellishments,ribbons and more(i have not finalized it yet,once i am done with i will post the picture).If two or more people give right answers winners will be selected randomly:)).

ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION WEEK 4-GUEST CHALLENGE

Hello people,
welcome to the 4th week of anniversary celebrations,hope you all are enjoying what is going on here in my blog.Before going to this week's challenge,i want to clear a few things about the 'Inspirational challenge' as some of our new blog friends find it difficult to understand the concept of casing.

• You can case any of our India bloggers card including me:)).Casing means copying the main theme and the layout of the original card,other things like colors,design papers and embellishments can be different as it is not possible to use the same products..If you refer my sample card of the challenge and the original card(i have given the link),you can understand it better.I have followed the layout n theme,but i have changed the color,window design and even the flowers.Hope this makes it clear,if you still have any doubt mail me.
• one can enter as many times as they like,there is no restriction for the no.of entries.
• Deadline has been extended till5th june,sunday.Hope to see many participants this time:).

So now on to today challenge,one of my close bloggy friend and a talented crafter anita is holding a challenge for you all with a interesting tutorial and some amazing prizes:)).She is the one to whom i spoke to,..among my blog friends and till now whenever i have a question or doubt she is the one whom i cal up or message immediately:)).Thanks anita,for taking time and being a part of this anniversary celebrations.Over to her,..

Hi, I,m Anita ,an avid crafter who sleeps, eat and breathe crafting. I love trying out new techniques and forever eager to learn. Another addiction is hoarding craft supplies and I do not think this will wear off anymore. In fact its growing day by day!

Those who have visited my blog know very well, how crazy I,m about making flowers. Believe me, making each one of them thrills me to no end. So when Kavitha approached me to post a tutorial for her blog, I racked my brains for over a week to give something new. I loved making this flower and YES, I did not use PUNCHES!!

So here is my tutorial step-by - step, on how to make these flowers.

Since I,m bad at taking pics(AM I NOT FAMOUS FOR THIS BY NOW?) (LOL). I hope that you all will bear with me.

Supplies:

mulberry paper or any thin hand made paper, distress inks-faded jeans, broken china, dusty concord. water spray, scissors, glue, brush, glitter glue, punched out black snowflakes, glue gun,

Step1:Stamp the distress inks on a craft mat and spray water

Step2:place your paper and press it well so that all the paint comes on it.
Step3:dry it wih a heat gun or air dry

Step4:Cut petals freehand

Step5:Added a little water to glue and apply on the petals both sides with a brush.

Step6:Twist the petals firmly like shown


Step7:air dry and when it is semi dry reopen them and pinch the bottom
Step8:with a glue gun apply on a small circle and place the petals overlapping.

Step9:use snowflakes and glitter to make centres. apply glitter on the petals.

Here is the card that I made using these flowers,..

Now, my challenge to you is to make anything using flowers that are handmade. It can be a card, box, layout, anything of your choice.

But the catch is that it should have at least one flower that is handmade and YES, NOT PUNCH CRAFT FLOWERS.

The winner will get a RAK from me will contain--Silhouette sd diecuts, spell binders die cuts, embossed CB papers, Patterned papers, ribbons, embellishments, and clear stamps from my own cards and scraps. I may add more goodies if I see a good number of entries. You can give multiple entries.

ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION WEEK 3-INSPIRATIONAL CHALLENGE

a very warm welcome to the third week of anniversary celebrations:))are you enjoying the celebrations?all suggestions and ideas are most welcome:).As i said i am here with a interesting challenge today-INSPIRATIONAL CHALLENGE.Most of you know about casing a card,taking a card that you like,and making a card based on that design,colors,themes,etc.So that is the challenge today,but what is new in this?you must case only a INDIAN BLOGGERS card:))).Mostly in terms of casing we choose only a foreign bloggers card,ofcourse they are pioneers in that,but we too have lot of talented and inspirational card makers here.

Before going to the challenges rules,here is my card i made for the challenge.My card is based on mona jain's this card,i really love her quilling cards,its very neat n elegant.This card is the one i loved a lot in the recent past,and mow i have a reason to case it:)))Do visit her blog for more lovely inspirations..I made the windows with tile punch to give decorative effect,but i regret myself that i covered most of it:((.Sorry for the poor photograph,..

My name is Ashmita Das i am a trained Media Professional. But since i married an Army officer who gets transferred to a new place every once in a while i cannot have a regular job. So, to keep myself occupied every free moment i get i do crafts. I have always been an avid crafter but since i got married 4 years back i started to scrapbook and that is how my love affair with paper craft started. I love making cards as well as scrapbooks and also scrapbook mini albums. Beings an Indian by origin here the crafting has not boomed like in the other countries so most of the crafting equipments are not available here. We (other Indian crafters and me) mostly rely on etsy and ebay for our purchases but still things can be very expensive. But i make do and necessity being the mother of invention and also i believe creativity and talent and the zeal to make beautiful projects makes up for the absence of all else because i have the passion and love for it. I have attached a few of my projects where i have used ribbons. I have learned macramé and embroidery so i bring a lot of that into my paper crafting projects too. I am very fond of the distressed look and vintage style and most of my projects generally are inspired by them. There are so many things you can do with paper and ribbon and i love to constantly try out new techniques and ideas. I am self taught trying to accumulate knowledge from all the bloggers from across the globe and not to mention Google and YouTube.
