MONOCHROMATIC

Hiya all!!
 how have you all been.I am super busy with other works and its getting hotter and hotter day by day which actually leaves me drained and i hardly craft these days.Any ways its time for a new challenge over at "For the love of crafting"and this time the time is monochromatic,easy peasy right?The winner of this challenge will get a guest designer post for our next challenge..how cool is that?so come and join us the fun challenge this month.
 I have made a tilda card after a long time,love how it turned out.The papers are from prima botanical,i have used shades of blue for my card.Have used one of my new tim holtz die which is my current favorite.Some mulberry flowers,twines,buttons,butterflies and pearls to finish the card.Hope you like it,hop on over to the challenge blog to see the DT creations and to play along.

BIG BUTTERFLY CARDS

Hello people!!
How are you all doing.I am here today with two cards,its been quiet a long time since i made a card i guess..i was totally hooked on making mini albums.It feels so good to make cards after long time,according to me card making has lots of scope to learn more and try different techniques than anything else,whats your opinion?

    My first card is base on this week CASE study challenge.I just loved the negative die cutting and the colorful alphas in the card.Here is my take,this is my first time using negative die cutting.The papers are from simple stories- vintage bliss.Its a pure bliss to use those paper i must say,i completely loved them.The chipboard stickers is also from the same collection.I have cut the butterfly using silhouette..best thing about it is you can cut the same design in different sizes.I have cut them in quiet a big size,about 41/2 inches.I have also used a punched out border and little of wood grain paper.Love how it turned out.
 

Here is my second card using the same negative die cut butterfly in a different size.I just loved to use bigger size butterfly in my card, and using it as a main element instead of using as a embellishment.I also have another card using the postive..have not finished it yet,will share it later.
   The paper is from prima romance novel..a super hit paper pad in recent days i guess.I completely love them and love the vintage look of the card it gives.Again some punched out border,seam binding ribbon,mulberry roses,ticket sentiment and decorative pin to finish the card.

CELEBRATION CANDY

Hello everyone!!
A very Happy new year to everyone who celebrates it today.So finally i am here with a candy which i am planning for long time.My blog has crossed 400 followers and 4,00,000 hits some time back.To celebrate that i am offering a candy..not only that i have few more reasons too.

I have started my"Kalalayaa-the school of arts" few years back on a Tamil new years day,so tamil new year is a very special day for me always.My "Kalalayaa" has taken so many new dimensions so far and with gods grace and love most of them are successful.I have come a long way since i have started and i have learnt so many things.

 Today again on a Tamil new year's day i am starting over with a new journey and this time much bigger and better,so wish me luck:)

 I have also started my own website last month "Kalalayaa's handmade cards".

So i have so many reasons to celebrate and i was planning for this candy for quiet a long time,and thought today would be a prefect day.So here is the candy...
