Hello all,
 i made a shabby chic card after long time. This is based on this months color palette over at Prima marketing.I am in love with purple these days,loved the combination of pink/purple/peach combo in this months PPP and wouldn't want to miss participating this time.

Floral canvas

Hello everyone,
  i am back with another floral canvas,you can check my first one HERE.I absolutely love making this,wish i  can make this in every color combo possible,lol.One new thing i tried in these canvas is,the whole texture is created with just layering the colors,i dint use any stencil,or texture paste or any other medium.Though it took sometime as i have to wait  for each layer of color to dry,its completely worth the wait(for a impatient girl like me its too hard as i always wanted to see the end result fast,hehe).I also have a tutorial for my previous canvas in colourarte blog,i made this in same method,so you check it out if you are interested.

So this time its pastel shades and i completely love this combo,a first try for me.I have used color bloom spray soft teal and Iris along with the new shade chrome.Oh i love this chrome shade,its a neutral color and goes well with any combination,will be definitely using it often.

I have used prima flower petals,the big flower in the center is my actual inspiration to start this canvas.Its around 5 inches big and makes a perfect center piece.I have not added much depth or highlight to elevate the flowers as the whole idea is to make it looks like its sculpted from the canvas

My canvas is based on this months sketch over at Prima marketing,i just rotated it.

Blue fern studios-Timeless mini album

Hello ppl,
 today i have a mini album to share,made using latest collection from Blue fern studios called "Timeless".I just loved the shades of purple and the rustic feel of the paper. The prints are so gorgeous that i dint feel the need to use any embellishments to decorate my album.

For the cover page i used a journal card from the paper collection and few Petaloo flowers and metal charms.

Take a look at the inside pages,i just used the papers(can you believe i dint use any embellishments at all?hehe),the floral n butterfly prints are so so gorgeous.

There are lots of tags in this album made using the scrap papers left after making the album and few is from the journal sheet.

The album cover is loosely based on this months sketch challenge over at Blue fern studios

Fly free-Altered art

Hello everyone,
 i am so happy to be Guest designing today over at "Scrapki-wyzwaniowo",one of my favorite mixed media challenge blog.The theme for this months challenge is "Altered art ",and i made a altered mannequin in steam-punk style.

 I was hoarding this dress form for quiet a long time,its quiet flat,so adding some nice frilly dress to it doesnt workout. Suddenly the steam-punk style idea clicked and it really worked well for this shape.To give more dimension i added tim holtz wings die cuts  to it,and for the flower arrangement in the center i added lots of light paste n  cheese cloth to elevate it n give some depth.Adding a base was  not a part of my initial idea, but due to heaviness on top,it started falling down,so added a circle base with chipboard and decorated it to match the dress form.

I added lots of flowers,metal embellishments and gears,few things releated to dress form for the steam-punk look.

For the coloring part i  used "Colourarte" primary element-Teal zicron mixed with clear glaze.For highlights used "Deco art" metallic luster silver.Teal with silver is one of my most fav combo  n it never fails you,love how it turned out.

Art journal for Words & Paintery

Hello everyone,

 we have a new challenge over at  "Words & Paintery".Its quiet a challenging combination for me,two bright colors together but had absolute fun making this art journal page after all i like challenges n love to explore  new things. 

  This page is more artsy and i went very random,just played with the colors without any limitations, though its not on very pretty side i quiet liked the outcome.The image is from Finnabair ephemera pack and colors are from Colourarte.Hope you liked my inspiration,head on over  to Words & paintery blog for more awesome inspiration and do play along.
