Graphic 45 Secret garden mini album in a box
Hello everyone,
sorry for my long absence here, last week i was down with viral fever n whole week went by doing nothing except sleeping.Anyways i am here today to share one of my special project made with my most beloved and hoarded paper-Graphic 45 secret garden.I have been hoarding this more than 1 1/2 years and finally decided to use them up..I just love graphic 45 papers and have most of the collection in my stash, but hardly made 2-3 projects with them so far.Today i promised myself to use them more often, lets see how i keep up my promise ;)
Sorry for the poor pictures,i spent almost 2-3 hours to photograph them n edit, these are the most decent pictures :( The colors are so so pretty in real, but really couldn't capture them n even the details does not show well in the picture,i am really disappointed, some days are just not meant be and projects are really difficult to photgraph:(.
P.S: Please click on the picture to enlarge n for better view of the details

Mini mixed media canvas with tutorial
Hello everyone,
today i am sharing a tutorial of making a mini canvas with textured background using Silk acrylic glaze paints. The colors are super shiny, creamy and easy to apply and once dried they give a awesome finish to your projects..Check out Color arte blog for more inspiration and amazing projects and various uses of their awesome products,i'm sure you wont be disappointed if you love mixed media.I made a mini vintage style canvas with lots of texture.Scroll down for step by step procedure of pictorial tutorial for making your own textured background, its super easy n fun.
Then i took some tim holtz border die cuts ( six of them) ,sticking 3 each together to give thickness n to look like chipboard.
Adhered the die cut on the canvas and randomly applied some "Glass bead glitter gel" above the die cuts to give more texture.
Once the canvas dried completely gave a coat of black gesso to the whole canvas and heat dried it.
Then with flat brush gave dry strokes of silk acrylic glaze iridescent blue and green colors randomly
Then again gave a coat of black gesso over the die cuts and the corner
Then over the die cuts and corner applied Iridescent gold and copper colors .
Took some metal embellishments, gave a coat of black gesso and once it dried colored them using silk acrylic glaze-iridescent colors
Hope you enjoyed my tutorial, please feel free to leave a comment if you have any doubt.
Supplies used:
Canvas:4 by 6 inches
Black gesso from prima
Silk acrylic glaze: Iridescent blue
Iridescent Green
Iridescent Violet
Iridescent Gold
Iridescent Copper

I took a 4 by 6 inches canvas, n started sticking tissues paper with diluted mod podge.Just apply little of diluted mod podge (with water) to a small area, tear the tissue paper into small pieces and stick it.Crush the tissue a little while sticking, and wet your hands every time while sticking as it will prevent the tissue coming off the canvas.
Then i took some tim holtz border die cuts ( six of them) ,sticking 3 each together to give thickness n to look like chipboard.
Adhered the die cut on the canvas and randomly applied some "Glass bead glitter gel" above the die cuts to give more texture.

I have used a vintage image as focal point and arranged the metal embellishments using glue gun.
